Data collection on our website

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that your web browser stores on your device. Cookies help us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Some cookies are ‘session cookies.’ These cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your browser session. Other cookies, however, remain on your device until you delete them yourself. These cookies help us to recognise you when you return to our website.

With a modern web browser, you can monitor, restrict or prevent the setting of cookies. Many web browsers can be configured so that cookies are automatically deleted when the programme is closed. Deactivating cookies may result in limited functionality of our website.

The setting of cookies that are necessary for the performance of electronic communication processes or the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. shopping basket) is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and smooth provision of our services. If other cookies (e.g. for analysis functions) are set, these are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure the needs-based design and ongoing optimisation of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

For the purpose of designing our pages in line with requirements and continuously optimising them, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.de/intl/de/about/) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the design of this website in line with user needs.

This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data. The IP addresses are anonymised so that they cannot be assigned (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help Centre (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

The website operator automatically collects and stores information in “server log files” that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL

Time of the server request
IP address

This data is not merged with data from other sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or for measures prior to entering into a contract.

Contact form

If you send us questions via the contact form or by email, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, in order to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We will not pass on this information without your consent. We will therefore only process the data you enter in the contact form or email with your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time. An informal email with this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be processed lawfully. We will store the data you provide in the contact form or by email until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory legal provisions, in particular those relating to retention periods, remain unaffected by this.

Data processing (customer and contract data)

We collect, process and use personal data only to the extent necessary for the establishment or modification of legal relationships with us (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or for measures preparatory to a contract. We collect, process and use your personal data when you access our website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable you to access our services or to invoice you for them. Collected customer data is deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected by this.

Data transmitted when registering for services and digital content

We only transfer personal data to third parties to the extent necessary to fulfil your request to us. Your data will not be transferred for any other purpose unless you have given your express consent. The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
